Steps I have taken: - Cleared Secure Boot Keys - Reset. - Selected Legacy Support Enable and Secure Boot Disable - Reset. - Go back to BIOS --> Boot Options -->Attempt to Uncheck UEFI Boot Order (Unable to) --> Check to see if Legacy Boot is available and its a no go. - Then I go back to the secure boot options and verify that none of my
Following are the settings which solved my problem -. Advanced\PCH Storage Configuration\Sata mode selection - AHCI. Advanced\Onboard Devices Configuration\PCIE Express Slot and M.2 Bandwidth - M.2 mode. Boot\Fast Boot - disabled. Boot\CSM\Launch CSM - Enabled. Boot\CSM\Boot Devices Control - UEFI and legacy. Insert the USB thumdrive prepared previously. Power on the PC. As soon as you press the power-on button, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap). This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one. Choose F9 to open Boot options. Select the thumb drive as boot option. On UEFI computers you can access a boot menu. Attach your USB flash drive and while booting the computer tap F12. This will give you a boot menu where you can select the UEFI USB device. Back to top. When the Startup Menu displays, press F10 to open BIOS Setup. Use the right arrow key to choose the System Configuration menu, use the down arrow key to select Boot Options, then press Enter. Use the down arrow key to select Legacy Support and press Enter, select Disabled if it is enabled and press Enter.
My laptop BIOS has a customized boot option. With the option enabled, you can manually add a boot path. If it's correct and accurate, the BIOS can run the Windows boot loader from the path. This option, if you have, should be in the Boot Options in the Advanced. Here's a screen shot of the option in my BIOS. Let me know if you have one or not.
