I've been toying the idea of getting myself an 1090R for a while. Now I'm reading in the italian forum that the speed is limited to 200km/h. Hi, I have had exactly same problem, 2015 model Adventure 1190. Warm day and tank less than 1/3 full, usually after about 60 miles cuts out without warning and 'fuel pump failure' on the display. Won't re start straight away but does after 5-10 mins then everythings OK (for a while).
First, it's clearly my mistake, since it's well known that KTM's bikes are as reliable as Japanese bikes. Maybe I'm just talking from my experience. I have owned 3 KTM's, 2 bmw's and 7 japanese bikes. 0 problem with the japanese brands, a lot of troubles with 1 bmw, small problems on 1 of my ktm's and a lot of problems on another of my ktm's.
According to official KTM figures, dry weight 790 R = 189 kg, 890 R = 196 kg. The weighed the 890Rally vs 790R rally comes with akro, and DID thinner wheels. And they said almost the same the diff was, about 2lb. #10.
